What a month June was! So much to celebrate across the Outset Ecosystem! Highlights include:

Celebrating -- > newly Knighted, Sir Peter Beck and the Rocket Lab team for #50 Electron Mission with "No Time Toulouse"!! Outset is privileged to have Pete on our Investment Committee, as we invest in ambitious founders taking on immensely difficult challenges. Investing -- > Outset’s Investment Team finalising investment #3 from Fund II (Fund II remains open to Wholesale Investors).

Ecosystem strategy -- > Meeting with Sir Peter Gluckman, at Outset with Chair of our board Sean Simpson as we discussed our (independent) thoughts in relation to the NZ Science System Advisory Group reviews that are underway.

Community building -- > hosting our regular deeptech community meetup and farewelling HelicoBio as they move to the US.

Incubating -- > we are excited to be supporting Gabrielle James with an exciting venture utilising precision biology.

Showcasing – > so many of our companies and founders at Climate Salad and Wellington NZ’s Climate Tech Summit (OpenStar, Daisy Lab, Zincovery, Aspiring Materials)

Scaling -- > with portfolio companies

Vertus Energy closing €8.75 million led by Energy Capital Ventures and joined by Blackbird, the Amadeus APEX Technology Fund and Aussie Angels, .
Aquila raising $2m AUD led by Alua Group with participation from existing investors Blackbird and Icehouse Ventures,
Zincovery securing Motion Capital as a Lead investor with their $10m NZD round.

And the usual tour’s of our campus here at the Home of Deep Tech in New Zealand, hosting Minister Bayly, Japanese Consul General Mr Matsui among others.
